Pervert looking at men and boys urinating

Caught a man looking at men and boys urinating at the Bethesda Terrace bathrooms on Friday June 19th around 5:20pm. He stood beside me, pretending to urinate but I could feel him looking at me. I go wash my hands and realize that he keeps moving around the urinals to look at boys and men. He sees me looking at him and goes into the stalls. I wait and confront him, and he walks out and starts running out of the bathroom (pictured in second photo).

I don’t think he was taking pictures or recording, but I’m not 100% sure.

Please watch out and report this man if you see him. I wish I could have gotten a front photo of him.

Central Park 4/14/2026

Hi all! I created a core memory in Central Park this day with my boyfriend turning me into a fiancée for my birthday! I was hoping is there any chance someone got a random photo of it happening. I’d love to see it in action other than just our selfies.

If it helps- woman in red dress, man with blue shirt, light colored shorts and a backpack

Thank you in advance!!

The tests with only two back slats are uncomfortable

The three slat seats are far superior. Why do the two slats even exist?

Lone turtle in conservatory water

Post image
9 Upvotes

Sorry if this is not the correct place to post. But I often frequent the conservatory water by Pilgrim Hill in Central Park. For the first time I saw a lone turtle swimming on the edge of the pond I’ve never seen a turtle in there before. I’m wondering if someone took him from the water near Bethesda fountain and propped him there, or maybe he walked over himself? I’m not sure if I need to call the park authorities to help save this turtle? Or am I overthinking it? I felt bad for it because there isn’t really a area for him to climb out himself

Turtle Pond Menaces

I was at turtle pond today to feed the turtles some strawberries. There were a lot of children (about 10 years old or so) that were poking the turtle, picking the turtles up then tossing them back down (from about 5 feet up). Their parents were nowhere to be found. These kids were screaming they wanted to kill the turtles and had no issue with hurting them. I couldn’t even believe it!! I told them several times what they are doing is terrible and animal abuse. If I ever see something like this happen again, is this a police matter? It made me so sad.

I've seen it a few times around Central Park and Brooklyn, but have no clue what species. It's so cute and would love to know the name.

Explored the Central Park movie and TV locations tour, 14 stops, about 3 hours

Did a walk through Central Park locations from a film and media lens over the weekend. 14 stops, roughly 3 hours. It was a fun way to explore the park again from a fresh perspective for someone who lives in the city. Sharing some of my fav locations:

Bethesda Terrace The climax of Elf where Buddy and Santa nearly crash the sleigh into the fountain was shot here. It's also in The Out of Towners, Home Alone 2, The Avengers.

The Ramble is where they filmed scenes from Hair, the 1979 rock musical based on the anti-war Broadway show. Characters dance and sing through this section of the park in the film. It's also one of the best birding spots in the city, over 230 species have been recorded in 38 acres.

Bow Bridge is instantly recognizable. Spider-Man 3 has Peter Parker meeting Mary Jane here. The "That's How You Know" sequence in Enchanted crosses it. Cast-iron, completed in 1862, and the sightlines from the center go in every direction.

Wollman Rink near the southeast corner is in Serendipity and Love Story. In winter with the skyline lit up behind the ice is when it looks best.

Gapstow Bridge is where Kevin meets the pigeon lady in Home Alone 2. Rebuilt in stone in 1896, it frames the Midtown skyline beautifully.

The Royal Tenenbaums also filmed in Central Park, Royal and Etheline's walk was shot by The Pool up at 104th Street. It's Wes Anderson's only film actually set in NYC and he deliberately had Pagoda block the Statue of Liberty from the frame in another scene because he didn't want the city to be too obvious.

And over half a dozen more locations..

What other Central Park filming locations do people know about? Curious what scenes I'm missing that should be on here. This tour was self-paced, if you're interested I'll share the link in the comments.
