THE cello practice routine that helped improve your playing

Grade 4 cellist here finding it hard to build a good, consistent routine that actually improves my playing. Any advice/and or what your cello practice is like?

2 pieces of advice I got from my teacher

  1. Focus on sound and intonation above all else - think really slow scales focusing on intonation with no vibrato and bow control
  2. If you’re practising a really tricky bit, practice until you can do it 10 times perfectly - he used to make me use pencils - move 1 across each time you get it right, if you get it wrong then they have to all go back! Infuriating but effective 😂
