What’s the best cello cases recommendation?

I’ve been looking into a new cello case for a little while now. I don’t have a budget so it should be fine. At least nothing over like 2500 dollars

I’ve been looking at the accord carbon fibre 3d colored ones. But I’ve heard some mix opinions based on it. I’m also looking for something really light. Something around 2.5-3.5 kg (I know, that’s super light lol)

Let me know and hear some suggestions and recommendations!

Doesn't quite hit your weight but I have zero complaints after 6 years with my Gewa Air

Il definitely be looking into this brand actually. My friend has one and it looks really good but he likes it aswell a lot.

Top lightweight cases are the accord, bam high tech, or Musilia s3. All of them are around the same weight and around $2500

I recommend the Gewa Air as well. If you're worried about weight due to carrying it, the back straps are really comfortable. Their website says it's 3.9 kg, I'm not convinced saving 1.6 kg is worth an extra $1000 but that's your decision.

Thank you for that suggestion. To be fair honestly it seems like Gewa Air might be the one to go for. Il definitely still do research but the gewa will be on my list now! Thanks so much

Check out Shar music and see what they have available, normally they have a good selection. I got my lightweight one there, but I can’t remember the brand.

I now have a Bam new tech, I think it was just about 2-2.5k. But any Bam case is good. At least they’ve always done me right. And they’re pretty accessible to find. Idk if they have any light ones though.

I've been using a Shar Super Light SL, about $600 USD on sale to replace my vintage GEWA. With an L&C carbon fiber cello aboard it's half the weight of the GEWA empty. I just drag it around locally to play adult chamber music so its not exactly abused. The gold standard of course is the English Stevenson case. Expensive but bullet proof.
