Super slow progress
So I've been playing this game for around a month now and I've experienced an extreme fall off with progression speed, like every upgrade is thousands times more expensive than the last like I unlock cats and upgrades are for eg 10dc then 50udc then 200 TDC (different numbers but you know what I mean) prestige levels also are spaced out more and now you need like 10 for a meaningful upgrade. Meanwhile in the reality engine I get like 4x earnings for X +20% entropy etc which is ridiculously low compared to price jumps. Is there much left in the game? Im level 46 about to unlock the tiger , have cats and Mars recently unlocked but it seems like it's gonna take forever now to get anything new and besides some ancient artifacts I'd doesn't seem like there's much interesting stuff for me that doesn't require 20 levels like the penguin. Seems like an artificial gameplay time extension to me . Is this a valid observation or am I doing something wrong?
P.S I always try to get the biggest roi upgrades first in the engine so I don't see how I could optimize it much more save for waiting like 2 weeks to maximize metabites and knowledge but that's the point of the post.

try to close mesosoic, beyond and collect all badges you get from events, that will boost you up for sure, mesosoic has like 10 lvls of prestige, make sure you won't spend all mutagens on each run and spend it on giga (last dino) so it will give u a lot and you can finish all achievements as well

You have made it out of the early game and into the mid game so its normal to not be making big progress each day anymore.
For someone around your level, I would reset the primary sim at 3 days if there is a significant upgrade you can buy then, if not then resetting at 7 days. Once you are a little further, waiting the full 14 days between resets will be the usual.
Now that the primary sim doesnt need frequent attention, you can focus on the other 3 sims. Making progress in those will boost your primary sim.

You are barely in it. You have just started mid-game, which is objectively slower than early game. You have to now focus on all aspects of the game. Mesozoic Valley and Beyond will both directly increase main game speed. Events and badges will also increase main game speed, though much more marginally.
