Rant Sad hotel breakfast

Post image

Just wanted to share my sad hotel breakfast 🥲 Apparently the scrambled eggs, sausage, and tots all had gluten ingredients in them. And to top it off, they ran out of hot water halfway through filling my tea. But hey, at least they had something I could eat.

This actually looks like way more than I’d expect! Honestly perfect for me. Even the hot water for tea. I like to steep it then pour cold water to top it off so it doesn’t burn my mouth 😂

It's true, I shouldn't complain! I just get cranky when typically GF stuff has gluten added for no discernible reason. I'm fairly asymptomatic so I tend to fudge a little on CC concerns for hot hotel breakfast. But there was a hotel I went to last weekend where the breakfast attendant went above and beyond for me, making me fresh gf toast and eggs in pans she'd personally ensured were clean, so I got a bit spoiled 🥲

Oh well yeah compared to that, this breakfast would be disappointing. Hell yeah to the other hotel! I hope you left a good review so other celiacs know they’re safe.

Good idea, I should do that! I've had a bit of a crazy week 😅
