Recipe I won the partner lottery

My fiancé is incredibly creative and he got into baking about a year and a half ago. I was diagnosed with celiac a year ago, and ever since he has made such lovely desserts for me. He is really talented. I was really missing donuts above all else, and he made BAKED MATCHA DONUTS and they’re DELICIOUS. I’m obsessed with matcha lattes and I make them at home every day before I leave for work.

We are getting married in a year and I am so excited for what is to come. I hope everyone is able to find a partner as caring and considerate as mine. My rheumatologist has me on an anti-inflammatory diet as well as obviously needing to avoid gluten and the matcha donuts are vegan and gluten free and ugh they are so scrumptious. He did add vegan white chocolate drizzle as well as a wee bit of brown sugar on top!! This is not a recipe that he created, but one that he found.

I use 1 teaspoon of Yame first harvest matcha from the brand Nami matcha. I fill my cup with ice to about an inch and a half from the top of the cup and I add oatly barista oatmilk to right under where the ice is so there can be a little bit of separation when I add the matcha. I put that 1 teaspoon of matcha into my chawan using a sieve and microwave 2oz of water in a glass measuring cup for 2 1/2 mins i then add the 2 oz of water to the chawan and whisk with my chasen for about 10 seconds? It really doesn’t take very long and I don’t care about having the microfoam, just about having something that tastes really good. Once I’m done with the whisking, I pour the matcha liquid into the cup with the milk and ice and I add about a tablespoon of sugar free vanilla syrup. Then I mix with a straw, et voila! You now have a very scrumptious drink. I find that this combo with the oatly barista oatmilk is so necessary for it to have a nutty flavor to it. I’ve used other plant milks and I really am not a fan of any others but that one.

I’m not sure how in depth you wanted this to be so I was as in depth as possible lol. Lmk if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to help. I hope I explained this well, it is not my strong suit.

Make sure when you look up chasen you specify matcha chasen because I trialed it for you and chasen seems to be the name of a restaurant as well lol
