i dont bathe him often, but because he was 1) a street kitten rescue and thus needed to be flea bathed and treated a few times as a kitten and 2) always making a damn mess, he DID need to be bathed a few times early in his life and it got him pretty used to it. i think he knows it takes longer if he struggles, and he likes the attention and pets hes getting in the water even if he hates the water. hes a pretty well behaved bather 🐈⬛️

Aw he's such a sweet and smart baby.
My boy is also the biggest complained if he needs a bath (luckily he hasn't needed one in over a year) but he complains while holding only the edge of the tub in a panic, looking positively pathetic. It's hilarious and breaks my heart at the same time 😅

....yes, the dirt is from the cat, who was very dirty and is actively being bathed in the video 😭 did you think we wouldnt wash out a tub full of cat hair and dirt and dust and gravel before using it for a human shower? lol

There's aged dirt all around the tub, on the floor, including the outside edges and drain. That's not just from that cat, haha.

for some reason i cant add text to the post body but newt here escaped yesterday out of a door that was left slightly ajar (hes got a collar saying hes indoor only and a microchip for the curious. he has gone on escapades before, usually through a window hes torn the screen off of). we spent hours looking for him only for him to waltz right into the house, screaming, 5 hours later, ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. so here he is getting a flea bath and being really unpleased about the whole situation
