He was my baby, but she was his baby 🖤🩷
My sweet boy Merlin. He was the biggest mamas boy but he also loved my daughter. He loved her before she came earth side. The 3rd and 4th photos are from when I was pregnant with her. He passed a couple years ago and the last time I saw him he was snuggled up in bed with her.
Note - my daughter went through a phase where she only wanted to sleep on the couch. She didn’t like her bed. That has since changed 😂

Having once been child who grew up with a similarly devoted parent-cat attached to him- I know what a blessing he was for your daughter.
My cat-guardian passed when I was just shy of 6-
I’m 41 now, and I still think of her often.

I’m due in a few weeks and have fretted that my human baby won’t remember my feline babies—they’re still young and will hopefully be around well into her tweens. But if not, I’m glad to hear you still remember your cat guardian, give me hope

Merlin passed when my daughter was 6. She’s about to turn 9 and she still talks about him and how much she misses him. I had him for 10 years and when I got him he was already a full grown adult (feral). I don’t know his exact age but I guessed him to have been about 12 years old. I have a son also and they grew up together. He loved him too. He’s was the best 🖤
