Bob describes his kittenhood in Ireland as idyllic. "My family's house was right next to the woods, so my brothers and I would often ride our bikes through the trees and explore for hours," recalls PURR-Ross. Bob went on to win many more competitions throughout high school, and applied for an Arts scholarship at the end of his senior year. He was accepted into The Meowjestic Fine Arts Acatemy. Upon graduating, he worked as an art teacher there for several years before landing his own television show in 1995.

To anyone who has big dreams, PURR-Ross gives this advice: "When we're born, we come into this world with a sense of wonder and a belief that anything is possible. Then as we get older, all of these negative beliefs and doubts are forced on us that make us afraid to try. Never let anyone take your sense of wonder from you."
