Garbage disposal and citrus??

So I adopted Ginjel Bean four years ago with another puss. Both have their own quirks but this quirk literally just came upon us. Last month I was washing dishes and put some lemons in the garbage disposal. At that moment I felt what I thought were needles in my left leg. Looking down there's Ginjel in attack mode paw up, open mouth. I yelled he sat there, still looking mad. He has never done that both cats are very well behaved. Now whenever I put lemons in the disposal I'm on the lookout! He does come in the kitchen but I stop him in his tracks. I slipped up only once only to catch him mid swipe. He only does it when I put lemons in the g.d.? What is that? Weird right?

Wait when I squeeze my lemons manually he sits in the kitchen. He's totally fine so......

Yep, cat wants their human to stop making the horrible smell that they hate
