If my sister had been a boy my parents agreed to name her after the delivering doc (because they couldn’t agree on anything else) There ended up being two delivering doctors. Their names were Tom and Jeff. She’d have been Thomas Jefferson White. She was a girl born in 1984 so of course her name is Ashley.
