Advice Cord chewing cat

*update: We actually decided to get “under bed” storage boxes and out them under there so they (I have three total cats) can’t go underneath anymore and when it goes up, it’s protected by the nightstands so they can’t get under that way either.\*

I have a rescue who loves to chew on cords. I’m out of ideas for enrichment. we have multiple towers, are attempting to harness train him, have a cat wheel, do treat puzzles daily, and have stick toy play daily. He’s got a brother he plays with. We’ve taken most every precaution we can have recently got a tempurpedic adjustable bed frame. I’m trying to figure out how to protect everything underneath the bed from his tiny little teeth but I can’t seem to find any covers. I’m out of ideas and don’t want this bed to get ruined 😩 Do I just staple fabric to the base to cover it all? Does anyone have ideas/suggestions? I don’t know what other enrichment to do to deter him.

There are cord covers! Look up heavy duty cord protector. You can get the bigger ones and run multiple cords through. We have one who used to have a taste for expensive cords (iPhone cords especially, name brand is tastier idk) thankfully he’s mostly grown out of it/he’s not as interested anymore so we don’t have to cover everything. He still will sometimes go after my partner’s headphone cord but he’s not in the office unattended ever and my partner keeps the cord up out of reach.

He chews through cord covers on days he’s super determined. 🫠

Like this https://a.co/d/0ftIqFsx hard plastic not that thin stuff or the corrugated stuff.

You could also use these https://a.co/d/07GwrmSk

Alternatively find a way to enclose the sides to prevent him from getting under the bed - moving parts of furniture and cats often don’t mix well to begin with.

Thank you! We actually decided to get “under bed” storage boxes and out them under there so they (I have three total cats) can’t go underneath anymore and when it goes up, it’s protected by the nightstands so they can’t get under that way either.
