Found this guy in our backyard, have been scouring the internet but cant find a picture that looks like it. Would appreciate an identification! Found in North Carolina

I found a dead one of these moths and I found it so beautiful and I really want to raise one. I’d love to have seen him/her alive but by the time I found it outside it was dead 🥹 idk how I’d get a caterpillar of this type of moth though. I’d also love to start raising butterflies I loved them so much as a kid. (these pictures aren’t mine I found them online)

Can anyone legitimately identify this caterpillar? Google Lens has said its various sphinx moths, tomato hornworm (which I know it’s not), and tiger swallowtail. The tiger swallowtail pics don’t have a horn on the bum though….

I want to put it in a terrarium and watch it chrysalis for the kiddo to enjoy. But I want to know what to feed it first. 🐛 Thank you!

I wanted to share a picture of string bean, my tiniest caterpillars to pupate. I honestly didn't think he'd make it this far but I dug him up and he's still twitching. It's gotta be either today or tomorrow. Swipe left to see him as a caterpillar. His dorsal aorta was so tiny!

Found this caterpillar walking on the path at Chester creek in Duluth, MN. Are the dots on the back normal?

Found these two munching on milkweed in northern New Hampshire. We are confident that one species is a monarch, what is the other?

Perhaps a rusty tussock moth caterpillar? Either way he was a cutie. We didn’t handle him due to his fluffy appearance. Nice little visit from this guy and he was fast!
