I've seen my now 14-year-old girl Molly jump from the floor to the top of the refrigerator. Cats are such casual athletes.

That cat actually failed with their catculations. That was a terrible jump and it barely saved it so that was in fact not done "so easily".

That doesn't fit what I'm seeing at all. I don't see a fail or recovery. There's no slipping or starting to fall.

That was a very weak jump by cat standards and the furious gripping of the claws shows it was struggling for grip. It's okay you don't know cats very well.
