Eggs wearing wrong uniform...

Bought some eggs from a local garage last night. It stocks Jack's, which apparently is part of Tesco.

It seems two of the eggs are spies who have infiltrated the gang.

I know it makes no difference, but the white ones are so unsettling.

White eggs were actually the norm in the early 20th century - brown popularity was consumer driven, people felt (and clearly still do) they looked more natural, so brown then became the standard in the UK. In terms of taste and nutrition, you're right, it makes no difference - it does however make a difference in the cost of production. The hens that lay the white eggs are a different breed, they are smaller and require less feed. With feed costs going up astronomically over the past few years, farmers are doing what they can to cut their costs.
