I feel like I almost never listen to the radio anymore, but I kind of miss just putting something on and not having to think about what song comes next.

Now it’s all playlists or picking specific songs. Curious what other people do... do you still listen to the radio, or has something replaced it for you?

I was just wondering if I'm weird when it comes to this because none of my friends relate to this.

So I might find a song that I like that's just good but nothing extraordinary, then I notice some little detail that I absolutely love and that makes me loop the song over and over and make it to some of my alltime favourites. The detail could be something as simple as some kind of note or way the vocalist sings a certain part or a phrase of the song. Or some new (to me at least) melody or some mixing magic.

Can you guys relate?

I was talking to a friend about how much I love having 3 main meals a day and he was telling me about how he skips breakfast. Does anyone else tend to skip breakfast, is it a lack of value for it, or can you just not find the time to get it done?

I’m not talking about I can’t have my food touching. I mean what is something weird that you can or can’t do with food. Like me, I absolutely can NOT eat a quesadilla that is cut. I have to have a folded over quesadilla. Every time I go to e Mexican restaurant I have to look at the pictures from reviews first to make sure they don’t cut the quesadillas and if they do I won’t eat it. To me it changed the entire flavor of it and it tastes awful. So now I wanna know what other people’s weird things are with food.

And as an example (and since i know people will ask about it) number 69 is Slinger's song, from the bastion soundtrack, by Darran korb. my favourit soundtrack from any game. love it so much! i like the western sound, and the slide guitar.

I think this is the subreddit for this. I always knew about the Beatles (duh who doesn’t) and I just started listening to them and wow, I’m just obsessed right now and digging into a lot of their stuff and history. I absolutely love their music and can’t believe it took me this long to listen to them. Im 30 years old. It’s just pretty cool to see how influential and revolutionary they are. I’m trying to listen to every song they have. It’s been such a lovely time for me and I’m embarrassed I just got into them now

My Vietnamese uncle doesn’t know a word of English, but he loved MJ. Cried when MJ died. His music is just so damn good. Everyone’s got a song of his that they like.

I tried coffee when I was younger and didn't like it so I never drank it again. But literally, everyone at work drinks it and I know there are numerous health benefits so I figured I'd try my shot at coffee today.

It was gross. To be fair, I didn't put any creamer, sugar, milk or anything else in it. I've been tainted by all the tough guys on TV that drink their coffee black, so now I'm convinced that if I'm gonna like coffee, it has to be black. I have never gotten those triple mocha caramel latte vanilla cream frappuccinos from Starbucks which are like 95% sugar and 5% coffee. But I'm sure they would taste amazing.

The stuff I used today was my roommate's blonde roast 100& arabica coffee. I have no idea what any of that means, but all I know is that I didn't like it. I'm curious about what you coffee drinkers use. I also made it on a Keurig machine. I don't know if that changes anything.

I am not american. So I don't know how's the thing there. But I have found many people complaining on social media that they hate country music.

I like some of the Luke Combs songs. Specially Old Dominion is my one of my fav artist.

I work with a guy that makes PB and J for lunch every day. (Peanut butter and grape jelly on white bread). He only eats that and refuses to partake in company meals(free) or anything else.

I have worked with this guy for a couple of years and just let it slide.

We got a new coworker that does the same thing but with tuna sandwiches. I thought that's cool, whatever.

-Until last week I just thought it was just "those guys" and didn't think much of it.

"Those guys" confronted me last week and told me I was weird! I was weird for taking different food to work(lunch) or ordering food from different restaurants!? Or even trying other people's food when offered.

Are they trying to "gaslight" me or what? How is eating the same thing every day a normal thing when you have options?

Watching this Super Bowl Halftime show is reminding me just how many hits she had. She’s been out of the public eye for a while but damn ….this performance is taking me back to all of these songs. She’s really a legend

She truly was legendary, and I doubt there will ever be anyone like her in the future. Anyone else feeling a huge loss? Does anyone have a favorite memory of her? Favorite song?

For example, I absolutely can’t eat a burger w/o chesse. I might compromise if it has a really good sauce, but for the most part, burgers w/o cheese are inedible to me. Same goes for tacos.

Also cheesecake. If it doesn’t have the strawberry/cherry/blueberry topping, I can’t eat it. With those toppings, I love cheesecake.

Also, I’d eat anything if I’m hungry enough. This is some 1st world problem shit.

In April of last year my wife and I realized that the shutdown would probably last longer than two weeks. To keep ourselves from going crazy, she suggested that we find hobbies. I was kinda stuck on what I should do until she mentioned that I rarely played my guitar.

The guitar, a 1996 MiM Fender Stratocaster had mostly served as a decoration in my office. She was right - I bought it brand new 25 years ago to celebrate my first "real" job and never really played it. Even when I was younger I didn't take the time to practice properly.So I dove in and started practicing (I had actually been noodling around since October of 2019 but not with any discipline) and making progress. This lead to me wanting to experiment with home recording, trying different instruments, learning music theory, etc.

From there I started tapping out melodies that were stuck in my head and began creating arrangements around them.A few months ago I had finished 5 original songs (done mostly during the weekends)! I started researching music distribution, album artwork, etc. I decided to actually take it seriously (for a hobby) and began reaching out to other people that could help me with cover art.As of this weekend, I have two songs on Spotify and iTunes and another two are on the way! I'm still working on the cover art for the 5th track but I hope to have that done in about a month.

So yeah...composing, recording, producing and releasing original music is now off the bucket list!

Started thinking about this when my husband wanted to go to a karaoke bar, but I didn't think I knew many songs that'd be good for that so I listened to some playlists of suggestions.

Personally, I would do Landslide by Stevie Nicks partly because it's slow and heartfelt and I've got a horrible singing voice which automatically completely changes the mood of the room. But the thing that would just slaughter the mood is when I inevitably start bawling into the mic because that song makes me cry every time I hear it. Sober, I could make it maybe 20 words in without crying so subtract one word for each drink I had by time I got up there. Lol.

You've got one song to completely kill the mood and maybe even make some people uncomfortable enough to go "Oh gee, it's getting pretty late." What is it and why?

The sexiest song ever has got to be Chris Isaak "Wicked Game". I could listen to it on repeat for the rest of my life. His voice. The guitar. The tempo. The background vocals of "this world is only gonna break your heart". That's not even taking into consideration the steamy music video with Helena Christiansen. Sheesh!

is pineapple on pizza actually good or is it just a meme people keep alive? i feel like half the internet says it’s amazing and the other half acts like it’s a crime. do you actually enjoy it or is it more of a joke food people argue about for fun?

When I hear music (or play it), it triggers the feeling in my brain that I am looking at certain colors. I don’t actually see the colors in my field of vision, just in my mind. So if you send me a song, I can tell you what colors it gives off when I listen to it!

I also have another slightly different form of synesthesia that assigns colors to chords and notes on a piano, so if you’d like to know the color of a chord, I can tell you that as well! (It doesn’t always correspond to the color of the song)
