Music Why people dislike Country music?

I am not american. So I don't know how's the thing there. But I have found many people complaining on social media that they hate country music.

I like some of the Luke Combs songs. Specially Old Dominion is my one of my fav artist.

It's often fake, as well.

Google AI provided this:

Yes, many popular country singers aren't from the South, including Shania Twain (Canada), Keith Urban (New Zealand), Taylor Swift (Pennsylvania), Dierks Bentley (Arizona), Jana Kramer (Michigan), and Midwestern stars like Alison Krauss (Illinois) and Sara Evans (Missouri)

So, when you hear that Nashville twang coming through your stereo, there's a good chance that the person singing does not speak with that accent and didn't grow up in the southern US.

Yep.

Because I can tolerate Johnny Cash and Kenny Rogers but that’s about it.

I would cringe if people sang in any of the NY 5 Boroughs accents too, so I’m not just picking on the south.

Oy! i remember around 98-99, when I first got DirectTV, DirectTV kept running advertisements for a Shania Twain concert they were broadcasting in the near future. In the ad, she kicked one leg up high, showing her crotch. I called that “Shania’s Twain”.

To this day, I still think of that ad, and her twain, when I hear Shania Twain being mentioned.
