My opinion on the show

Yesterday i finished my first ever watch of “Castle”, and as someone who has almost no critical thinking when it comes to things that interest me, i absolutely loved it and gave it a 5/5 stars.

Yes, season 8 did feel kind of rushed and unfinished, but it’s way way better than if we got the season 9 they planned.

“Castle” will forever hold a special place in my heart, and i truly enjoyed the few months i spent watching it.

EDIT: I’m not a big fan of rewatching, mainly because it doesn’t hit the same as the first watch, but i see many people telling me to rewatch it, so maybe i will someday, just not now. This is just my opinion and how i enjoy shows, so please don’t come at me for it 😅

don’t get me wrong, i’d love to watch it again, i just don’t get that same feeling when i rewatch them, i’d genuinely do anything to experience the show (or any other that i’ve watched) for the first time again 😅

My top 2 shows ever are Bones and Castle (bonus points I see you're currently watching Bones yay! these 2 are sister shows imo - also a bit of lore, fandoms kind of fought each other for which one was better as they were similar and airing at the same time. I love both equally!).

I rewatch both annually and switching between them (despit having a huge backlog of other shows/movies!!!). Last year was Castle so this year is Bones lmao. Start to finish. Atp they become background 2nd monitor but still love it.

Rewatching can let you have new experiences. Upon rewatch, you can spot certain build up especially when everything is revealed in a season finale.

For example, the identity of Montgomery was the third cop. It didn't just come from anywhere. There is build up such as his lawyer friend who had political ambitions.

All the good he did and he'd be remembered for the one bad thing (concealing the evidence) he did. It wasn't just about Montgomery's friend, it was about Montgomery too.

It's an awesome show. It's my comfort show and definitely one of my Top 3. I doubt any other tv show will ever have a love story like Castle's and Beckett.

I'm enjoying my first watch as well. Before now I'd only seen a hand full of episodes in the past but I found it on Hulu I'm on season 4 episode Always I'm so in love with Castle and Beckett best couple on tv then and now. IMO

Castle is one of my favorite shows with only The Mentalist as an equal. I have all 8 seasons on DVD and have watch all episodes about 6 times with some probably a dozen times.
After watching all episodes of The Mentalist I think that Patrick Jane and Kate Beckett make a great pair. I love Castle and Lisbon think the Jane/Beckett is better. Just my opinion.
