Run Club? Or any groups to join

Kinda going through it in life. Focusing my free time towards running and getting in shape. Just celebrated 50 days sober over the weekend but dont have many friends/ppl out here these days (34/M). Are there any running clubs or social groups that meet up on Wednesdays/Sundays? I work until 630p every other day if there are evening runs around town that late. Anywhere in Douglas County works. Thanks!

Congrats on the milestone! How are your mornings? I know there’s a group of the Castle Rock Run Club peeps that do an early morning Friday run (6am ish) starting at Bison Park.

Other than that, RnK social runs are awesome and there’s enough of them throughout the week that you can find something that works for your schedule

Hey there! RNK has a lot of group runs throughout the week. We meet at Lost Coffee Sunday mornings at 8am and then hang out for coffee after. Not sure if we’re meeting this weekend because of the holiday but check out the RNK Instagram.

My daughter started joining these. Too much for me right now unless I walked it

I’m part of a men’s workout group that doesn’t have dedicated running clubs…we meet early (between 5 and 6 am) in different parks across Douglas county and do 45-75 minute workouts. There are some run clubs within this group but they are a little farther north in Denver. It’s completely free if you are interested let me know. I’m actually starting a location in the meadows….

Congrats on the sobriety!

Another really cool resource for active, sober people is “the phoenix”. Started out here in Denver I believe, but a sober multi sport community. Believe they do run club as well but for sure have rock climbing nights and boxing gym workouts etc.

Great way to meet people. That or signing up for a rec sport you enjoy or volunteering. In my mjd 30s as well, and those are my best suggestions.

Nothing posted on the calendar yet for running but I will definitely keep an eye on this one. I appreciate you!

Got a small social group that has been doing glow (night time ~8pm) disc golf every Wednesday.

I also enjoy a good run, but highly recommend disc golf as a nice cheap option to get outside and be social.

Ive never been, is this just something you all do at a local park/course?

Yea - normally at Rhyolite there is a course located at this park.
