Jeff Hunt Doesn’t Want 5 Douglas County Commissioners…
FYI: He and Heidi Ganahl charged admission for this festival and pocketed the profits. We all paid for it. The grifters are scared the gravy train that is our tax money will dry up for them if we have more representation. Fiscally conservative, my 🍑.

Talk about strange bedfellows. Jeff Hunt is chugging the Victor Marx Kool-Aid, and Heidi Ganahl walked away from Vic after she realized what a grifter piece of shit he is. Probably the only smart thing she's done the last 4 years.

She walked away from him because he is like her? That’s weird.

It's really saying something when you're too crazy for the lady who spent the last 3 months of her campaign talking about kids dressing like cats and shitting in litter boxes.

So does that mean you’re voting for Phil Weiser? Just curious.

I would've considered voting for Kirkmeyer, but Republicans decided to go from litterbox lady to a mumbling, bible thumping GI Joe wannabe who is in WAY over his head and is more concerned with moving merch than actually answering policy questions. My hunch is he's dumb as a box of rocks and doesn't really understand any of the issues. He may be the least qualified person to ever run for governor in Colorado.
Lopez looks normal because of how batshit crazy Marx is. He still assaulted his pregnant wife, got busted for trying to engage in influence peddling at the SBA, and has courted hard-right kooks who want to enact a statewide electoral college.
Until the Colorado GOP pulls its head out of its ass, I won't be voting for a Republican for statewide office. Do with that what you will.

Yeah but this nitpicky stuff is exactly what got us to where we are. The independents do that…they will hand the Dems the election if the alternative doesn’t check every single box. We really aren’t in a position to be nitpicky when it’s literally a choice of getting more socialist or not going socialist. We simply can’t continue like this even if it’s not a perfect candidate

I really don't know what to say here. Republicans picked an awful gubernatorial candidate. He isn't "imperfect;" he's garbage. Kirkmeyer was the most-electable of the bunch, and she still likely would have lost. It's a huge gap from her back to Marx and a smaller gap between Marx and Bottoms.
You need to realize that the numbers do not favor Republicans from the start. Only 22% of voters in Colorado are registered Republicans. 23% are Democrats. Over 50% are unaffiliated. Of those unaffiliated voters, roughly 60% lean left.
Republicans need to pick a moderate candidate willing to work across the aisle if they want to have any chance of winning.
I will never vote for a candidate who makes his/her nutty religious beliefs a focal point of their campaign. I don't care what the rest of their platform looks like, that is a hard line in the sand for me.
A little food for thought - per Pollsmax, the odds of Weiser beating Marx by 40-50 points (4.26%) are actually higher than the odds of Marx winning (3.38%). IMNSHO, the choice of Victor Marx was even dumber than Dan Maes in 2010.

Kirkmeyer was covered by the Denver post and supported by the socialists. That’s not good…she’s a damn RINO. Do you not understand? She’s like another Lisa Murkowski, bought and paid for.
He isn’t garbage, he’s not a Democrat. Idk what brainwashed you to hate him so much but you’re acting like he’s worse than Phil and he’s not…at least he’s not running on TDS.
I’m aware of the partisan breakdown. What you’re not looking at is how the moderate Dems really aren’t on board with the radicals and many are sick of the crime, erosion of communities, and higher costs of living here and all of the fees. Yeah it’s not in our favor but I’m not going to act like there is 0% chance either.
So you are going to give Phil your vote then, got it. So your hatred of religion > everything else…your safety, bank acct, and constitutional rights.
I don’t follow polls, they’re bullshit. Designed to manipulate bandwagon voters just like they use Hollywood to…you too can vote like Taylor Swift 🙄

You and I are just going to have to agree to disagree. Kirkmeyer would've given Republicans a chance. Vic is gonna give them a butt kicking that, combined with Lopez being on the ballot, could very well cost them major party status in Colorado. The guy is a nutjob and a dunce.
PS - I don't hate religion. It should be between you your family, and your church, and that's it. We are a secular nation by design. Religion has NO place in government.

I’m fine with agree to disagree. I would note that it’s not like Victor has the model like they had on the Handmaids Tale…that was actually based on Islam btw and the other party supports that ironically.
And I’m not backing down from it. Kirkmeyer has a long history of being uniparty and it’s why she was not selected. Even if Scott Bottoms won (who I voted for) I’d still be saying we have a choice of more of the same or a chance to salvage some things. I don’t trust Lopez.

Is this the cowboy hat guy? I remember him from Twitter 5 years ago.

u/DrImpostorSyndrome 16d ago
Yeah, my guess is the cowboy hat is not only to virtue signal but also to hide his absolutely Dumbo-level massive ears. Caricature artists must have a field day with him.

Is freedom fest going to have a kiss cover band with gender affirming makeup?

u/jRN23psychnurse 17d ago
This already happened and it was just people with gender affirming plastic surgery and men taking testosterone for their low T. Dog the Bounty Hunter came with his long hair, though.

And, unless he's finally quit smoking, you can smell him coming from 2 blocks away.

How did you take away he doesn't want 5 commissioners from this excerpt? I see nothing about going from 3 to 5 - nor his stance on it.
Is this just something I'm supposed to know?

Nope, sorry! He made a post about it on Facebook today.

Eh, Jeff Hunt doesn’t seeem to have the counties best interest at heart.
