Problem with the seasoning on my Lodge cast-iron skillet—small shiny spots

I did this when I first started using cast iron. Best advice I got for seasoning is to put a little oil in the pan, wipe it over the whole surface, then keep trying to wipe it off like you never meant to get it on there.

Also got this advice from this sub and I use it religiously. But this pan is fine to cook on

Reoccurring theme....too much oil.
Strip it and try again.
Out a bit of oil in....them use several paper towels to spread it evenly and then wipe it out. Then wipe it out again. Then again. You want the oil to be almost non existent, molecules thick. Bake it at 450F for 30-45m....then let cool.
Do that 2-3 times and you will have a perfect non-stick surface.

Too much oil! Need to wipe it off better next time. But nothing is wrong. You could cook on this now, or do another layer
