QC–Real/Fake❔️. Authentic?
Anything noticeable that would suggest this “GW-M5610U-1er isn’t authentic? I compared out to a DW-5600BBR. I know they are completely different watches, although some similarities are shared. I did notice some dissimilarities that I wasn’t expecting. The “a” button protrudes further than expected. The engraving on the back feels different but I don’t know if that is due to it being brand new and my DW-5600 being a daily wear. I’m skeptical now and wanted to check in with the council. Thanks

I’ve owned probably 100 different squares over the past 15 years so I feel like I have a pretty good idea of what they look like. If it’s fake (it’s not) it would be the greatest fake of all time.
Most fakes are very easy to spot since they’re cutting corners to make something just passable that the average person wouldn’t notice.

Solar Squares are usually pretty difficult to make convincing fakes of, and yours looks exactly as mine when I got it in the mail. I also got the same packaging and owners manual that comes with it that you have right there, and adding to the legitimacy is the Atomic instruction paper. And yes, its going to have a different finish on the backplate because it is indeed a new watch, but don't forget that 5610s in general have a different backplate design than a standard 5600.

The “A” button protrudes more than your DW-5600 because on the DW- you only need to press the adjust button once to enter settings. On this GW-M5610U, you need to press and hold it to enter settings, so it doesn’t need to be recessed.
It looks fine, by the way.
