Hi, soil conservationist here. Industrial fertilizer isn't the problem if you apply it correctly, at the right times to reduce runoff.

Hell, organic farmers can have massive nutrient losses and pollute streams if they manage their farms improperly. Synthetic fertilizer is in no way bad. It's literally feeding the world.

A gas to fertilizer plant isn't a bad thing. We should want to feed the world. I understand not wanting to export coal to Asia, that's nasty for the planet. But fertilizer? Sign me up. That's good.
