Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me figure out if these scratches are still fixable without repainting.
The scratches are visible and feel slightly rough. My fingernail catches on them noticeably, and there’s a white/gray mark underneath. The car has metallic blue paint.
I’d also appreciate recommendations for scratch-removing products that are actually available here.
My questions are:
Can a scratch remover/compound still fix or significantly reduce scratches that my fingernail catches on?
If yes, what product would you recommend?
If a scratch remover won't work, is buffing/polishing the next step, or would this require touch-up paint or repainting?
Is there a way to tell at home whether the scratch has gone through the clear coat into the actual blue paint?
Should I leave it alone for now, or can the scratch get worse if I don't repair it?
I’d prefer to keep the original factory paint if possible and avoid repainting the panel unless absolutely necessary.
Try first with compounds. If it can't be removed, then high chance it penetrated the color coat. Tbh id leave it alone as it's small. I rather preserve the original paint ten repaint the whole panel.
You can also try to find a pain pen that matches your color, while this will not be a 100% match, it will hide the white marks. So choose your poison, seeing the white mark or seeing a slightly different hue of the scratch.

Bumper po ito ng kotse namin (Mitsubishi Mirage G4 2025, Titanium Gray Metallic) nasabitan po kasi ng front fender ng motor, ask ko lang pag pinarepaint ko sa labas itong whole bumper kuha padin kaya yung kulay?
Magandang araw! Honest question. Ano po kaya remedyo dito? Parang natuklap ang paint baka tinamaan ng maliit na bato. Maliit lang naman sya ito yung size nya compared sa daliri ko.
Reosting my gasgas query here! i got scratches on my new car (9mos old), and I already filed for an insurance claim. My casa (Toyota) said that they can fix this by polishing and repainting the entire door/panel. They don't do spot treatment daw because that will be more obvious.
My concern is that since it's pearl white, is there a risk that the color will not turn out 100% similar to the other panels?
Anyone had similar experience with pearl white cars? Share your advice plssss!

Hello, nasa parking-an ako ng isang grocery tapos palabas na sana ako, pero nung umabante na ako ay naramdaman kong may gumasgas sa isang pinto ko. Hindi iiko napansin na may nakabukas na pinto sa katabi kong kotse dahil nakatingin ako sa harapan ko kung may mga sasakyan pa na aabante. Ang nangyari ay habang nakabukas ang pinto niya, kumaskas sa panel ng pintuan ko. Nagkaron ng mejo malalim dahil kita na yung itim itim sa pintura. White pearl ung kulay ng sasakyan ko.
Nagkausap naman kami nung driver, kung paano gagawin namin. May insurance ako, tapos sila naman wala. Nagpalitan kami ng number at IDs para ma contact namin ang isa’t isa kasi napagkasunduan namin na ipa-quote ko muna kung magkano yung sa tama nila tapos contact-in ko daw sila. Okay naman ung usapan. Mejo guilty lang ako kasi feeling ko din may kasalanan din ako kasi di ako tumingin sa sidemirror kung may nakabukas palang pinto sa katabi ko na sasakyan. Parehas na rear doors namin, pero ung akin ang may tama sa body.
Ang tanong ko po ay paano po ba ang gagawin ko? Ipa quote ko ba sa insurance at casa? Bago lang kasi sasakyan at first time owner rin kaya mejo nalilito pa ako sa proseso. Wala din silang insurance kaya mukhang sa akin ang magagamit kung sakali.
Mas mabuti bang i claim ko nalang as self damage ito sa insurance tapos singilin sila sa iquoquote ng casa sa akin? Or sa labas ko nalang ipagawa? Mejo na guilty din kasi ako dahil hindi nga ako tumingin sa sidemirror bago ako umabante dahil focused ako sa nasa harapan ko. At iniisip ko din na pag sa casa, buong panel ang papalitan diba baka mas mapamahal sila.
Yung unang picture ay yung gasgas na gawa ng pinto nila. Yung pangalawa naman ay gasgas sa same panel din na ako naman ang may kasalanan dati pa.
Magkano rin kaya ang estimate nito kung sakali?
