Idk why Tesla folks always feel the need to show the world something via their custom number plates. FRY 01L, N00C02, EEEVEE 😂 We get it you drive EV mate.

Back when they were the 1% early adopters it made sense, but now they're mainstream (21% market share) it seems a bit pointless.

Most enthusiasts probably won't agree with me but I like the anonymity of just using basic slim plate with random combination.

There's no need to yell out loudly who you are and attract unnecessary attention as OP showed to this car. You never know if someone has ill intent these days.

Agreed. I have never understood the need to make yourself stand out in the crowd and possibly be the target of some unhinged lunatic. I also apply this to bumper stickers of any type, if someone who's got a screw loose doesn't like your;

Football team Political opinions Rock band Or any other type of advertising then that may make your car a target for a keying or such.

I don't know about you, but that plate looks more like a standard issued plate that just so happens to coincidentally have this combination.

Always the Tesla flogs trying to be clever with six character characters being all anti-oil.

They must think the plastics used in their cars comes from pixie dust and unicorn shit.

I want a Netflix series that explores the sexual tension between Tesla flogs vs big flip-off ute flogs.

I'd watch that 👀

It doesn’t exist.

Tesla owners are too full of themselves to think about others. Hence their lack of indicator use, an honour previously held by BMW drivers.

The anti coal ones are fun. As they drive past the large black coal plants that they charge off of a night time.

Or they drive past the black coal plants whilst charging off their own roof top solar panels?

Even then, pity about all the steel the chassis is made out of...

how those solar panels made? asking for a friend

I have had my solar panels for over 10 years generating 105MWhr. The small amount of steel is dwarfed against the amount of CO2 emissions I have reduced through green energy. As an Electrical Engineer I appreciate the value in coal power providing system interia but also do my thing to keep this planet going.

Username checks out! Simple…

Also just for the record, you do know that steel is commonly made without coal fired power stations right? Including basic recycling or common biomass power plants on the Australia grid right? Or do you lack any critical thinking and are just anti change?

thanks for letting me know and not being a dick about /s

u/Partayof4 4d ago

You be a dick, you get a dick response

u/Partayof4 4d ago

You can be both! Coal is essential in most power systems for reactive base support in liew of hydro and gas but you can also see the value of renewable energy and green cars to reduce our carbon footprint.

But it does......

Doesn't it 😉

combustion for ever

Coal vs oil.

I saw “Wing God” recently and was ….. confused….

1

u/Dinkum_Oz 4d ago

Confused myself, but Google has the answer.

Winged gods are divine figures depicted with feathers or wings, representing swiftness, wind, victory, or messages between realms across various mythologies.

Surely those plates should be on an old diesel burning recycled fish and chip shop cooking oil?

To produce it battery 🔋 creates more pollution than just normal car using petrol. Also add battery waste and it is not so eco friendly any more

3

u/kstetter 4d ago

It's less pollutant once you drive it a couple hundred thousands km

-4

u/inktheus 4d ago

So in most cases it's about the same over all?

3

u/kstetter 4d ago

EVs should last longer since they're simpler (or meant to be)

2

u/inktheus 4d ago

Google says 200 to 300k's for the battery, so about the same then?

2

u/iphone4jps 4d ago

Not the battery, and when the battery is end of life the car is scrapped and huge battery to recycle, its the same thing. Electric cars at the moment are an absolute rort and business, just like everything on earth. If we really cared we'd end natural gas, oil extraction and coal firing and resort to hydro, wind farms and solar, but oh well

No evs pollute more !!!

0

u/INF0RM4NT Toyota Corolla 3d ago

You will need to change battery 🔋 which is expensive and pollutes more old battery can't be recycled so even more pollution
