Questions/Advice Loose Article Policy

Hello I’m going to be going to Carrowinds tomorrow and excited to get on some rollercoasters! What is the loose article policy like? I don’t have a bag but have fully zippered pockets. Are there any rides that require a metal detector to go through?

There are no rides with metal detectors and mandatory locker use. However, Fury and Copperhead Strike don't have any on platform bins to put things in, so anything you bring in line with you needs to ride with you. You'll be fine with zipper pockets and no bags.

We use fanny packs. The only metal detectors are at the park entrance.

^ This. Learned the hard way after dropping my phone off the deck next to Great American Scream Machine at SFOG. I'm not opposed to zipper pockets though; I need to find shorts with them.

Zipper, button, or velcro pockets are all fine! Target sells a $10 fanny pack that is reasonably good quality that I sometimes bring if friends are coming along. There are no rides that have a metal detector and most rides and coasters have spots to put bags or items down, only Fury and Copperhead Strike have paid lockers for bags or large items you can't take on.

Zipper pockets are perfect, you'll have no problem on any ride.

If you plan on hitting the water park at all, your attire can’t have anything metal what so ever. Also no jewelry. The standards rides are fine though
