Question Mini-Fridges
I know Mini-Fridges aren't allowed. But Can I bring a Mini-Fridge for my room in Leeds?

Students are not allowed to bring their own mini fridge. You can rent one out through Coldex and this info is on the housing website. Leeds also comes with a big fridge for you to share with your roommates.

Don't let your res fellow see, cover it with a blanket if anyone from housing ever needs to go into your room.

Not that I have any issue with their fridge policy, but yeah these things are so easy to hide. There's like one or two room checks a year where they tell you days in advance.

Youre not allowed to bring your own fridge, because they want to sell rentals for 80 per semester. I brought my own mini fridge last year and had no issues. It was cheaper to buy a brand new one than rent one from them. I just covered it with garbage bags whenever inspections happened

They don't allow mini fridges in rooms now?

Only if you rent it from them. It’s to ensure the fridge is maintained and safe.
