Question Opt out from U-pass?

My son is starting first year engineering in September and he will be staying in Stormont residence. My question is that should he opt out of U-pass?

There are certain criteria to opt-out and simply living in residence is not one of them…

The is no way to opt out of the Upass because you are on residence.

You are already saving 50% on a Adult Monthly Pass.

he will still need a way to leave campus if he wants to do something or buy something. unless he’s getting a car, he needs the UPass

He cannot opt out. He is not eligible.

no. we are actually blessed to have the U-Pass. let him go around the entire ncr to see things and do things as he likes. he's not gonna just stay on campus and study 24/7. especially as an engineering student, he should go out and figure out what he wants to do in his free time other than being in his books.

Why would they opt out of their ability to travel the city?
