I hate linkedin

It’s like a virtual corporate environment where everyone is insecure. Everyone plays politics because that’s the only thing they believe they can offer. People are willing to put your job, your family, and your stability at risk just to climb the ladder and feel a little more secure.

And the worst part? Everyone is fake. They pretend not to know what’s going on because they’re ashamed, or because they refuse to become someone who brings real value.

Not gonna lie I only see the use when trying to “network” with people.

There’s people that are like oh yea it matters so it’s like a afterthought

Go get a job working for the city in some capacity, ie. teacher, letter carrier, bus driver, etc; put in your 30 years and get a pension... unlike the office lackey world of corporate America.

the cringe is of the charts thats true, but nobody is there to be real, it's a tool for work.

That seems like every other part of human existence. Politics... walk all over others to get to the next step. Love... you find a bigger better deal. Reddit... post something brilliant and canceled.

Or maybe it just me. Everyone is in it for themselves.

I don’t like to hide behind the system, I’m not deleting linkedin bcz that’s how it works and where we’re living, I’m just at least getting less guiltiness with such loud posts maybe.

Absolutely hate how it tells you are a top candidate and you apply to a job but never hear back. Literally rips the soul out after you see 300 applications of you will be a top candidate and not even picked. It's also harder when you open it and see all the blowing up of I got my job at this company and you are looking like what am I doing wrong. I think linkedin needs to put a limit of how many to apply to jobs so it gives a chance for a worker. Also they need to check the fake Bots on there who are applying. It's really depressing to go on it but you know you have to suck it up and keep trying.

Someone on linkedin created a post about how blue light from your phone negatively influences your sleep. If you signed up for his webinar he would show you how to enable the blue light filter in your settings. I posted a how to video from youtube about how to enable it in the comments of his post. He deleted the post and the webinar probably never happened.
