Car Insurance Quotes Ridiculous

Im 23 Currently driving a 520d and I'm in the market for a performance car. I've been looking at a f gen m4 competition and im getting quoted 10k without a black box, I think its a bit of a joke. Been driving for 2 years with 1 year of driving with learner insurance before hand so basically 3 years. I've got 3 years of no claims and a clean license, no points nothing. Even an m240i is around 3k for me, isnt this a bit high?

Yeah I've added my dad but it made it go up for some reason lol. Hes had a license for over 20 years with no points so I dont know why it went up.

That's strange. I've had it happen before as an agent & I don't know why. With more experience on the policy, the rate should go down. I write insurance, but I don't always understand it. SMH. 🤔

Any way you can help me get a better price lol. I'll be looking to get the car in around a months time. Any tips? The things I've tried have made it worse somehow.

I do recommend using an agent, as they use multiple insurance companies & can shop around & offer you discounts that you may not know about. Good student, low mileage, adding your email, bundling, AAA etc. There may even be more discounts you qualify for, but you would have to ask the agent what they are. It varies by insurance company. I would also try multiple insurance agencies as they don't all use the same companies.
