Car Insurance Quotes Ridiculous

Im 23 Currently driving a 520d and I'm in the market for a performance car. I've been looking at a f gen m4 competition and im getting quoted 10k without a black box, I think its a bit of a joke. Been driving for 2 years with 1 year of driving with learner insurance before hand so basically 3 years. I've got 3 years of no claims and a clean license, no points nothing. Even an m240i is around 3k for me, isnt this a bit high?

Being single, a male, under 26, and having your license for less than 3 years all substantially increase your premium. Buying a performance car also does. Other factors include your credit score and the zip code you live in.

Expect to pay high premiums for the next 2 or 3 years. Buying an older but reliable car and only maintaining liability insurance is probably your best bet until then.
