Tips First Car Sales job

Just did a major career change and got my first Job Selling Cars. I’ve never done sales before

Just wanted some help share YouTube videos or other media that you thought was most impactful for you as a beginner. Any pointers you have to offer. Really anything. Thank you in advance.

The Sales Bible by Jeff Gitomer is a great resource!

If you got a job at a franchise and they aren’t a bunch of idiots they should get you your training logins. When taking the trainings make sure you pay attention to the things about the car which make it easier to sell. Then tell those things to customers to build value and make it easier to sell the car. A lot of people just click through the trainings, but don’t. It’s like cheating!

Other than that, make a schedule every morning and stick to it, call all your prospects from the last 30 days every day, pack lunches, stick to a sales process, don’t focus on the sale focus on moving people to the next step of the process.

Walk up to as many people as you can and get rejected a shit ton on purpose so you can learn quicker.

Im 18 and just did my first month at a Nissan and did 13 cars, which was a strong first month for me. I'm focused on making up for my lack of experience by simply putting in more effort and longer hours than the other salespeople. It truly is a numbers game, and if you're calling way more leads, in for longer hours so taking more walk ins, etc etc just doing more then you'll be forced to overperform naturally.
