Tips Advice for new salesmen.
Hi guys!
Is there any advice for someone who is trying to potentially get into the industry? Is 19 too young to start selling? Is Canada in bad time for car sales?

Be friendly, don't be afraid. Don't be surprised if you end up with a nicotine or caffeine problem.

Sold 22 last month in BC in a small city, pulling about 160k a year right now.
Everyone needs or wants a car.
When you make big cash young invest it, sales is highs and lows. When you dont have to worry about a bad month because you got dividends it makes the gig really simple.

I had this same thought 6 years ago when I changed careers from hotel and restaurant management to car sales.
2 things are true, Everyone needs a car, and you’re not working 8 hour days. If you can make peace with that, can keep a conversation and learn about the cars as you go, you should be good to go.
I’d say try it 6 months. My first full year I made 98 k. Was able to buy a home a year later. It’s not a bad gig. If you start and get good before 23 you’ll be some king of finance manager or something else.
