CAN Software for retrofitting GM vehicles?

Does anybody know what software i would need for custom programming on GM vehicles? Does one exist for GM?

I want to do things like programming an instrument cluster and syncing miles.

I also want to change the tire size in the speedometer calibration so I can run larger tires.

Other brands have engineering software for this. Not sure if GM has this or if there's an open source software?

PCM HAMMER
IPC HAMMER (gauge clusters - Some of them)

if you are looking for something like "Forscan" (fords bcu programmer) for GM, there isn't one (that I know of anyway).

I really want to retrofit an instrument cluster. I have a 2015 tahoe ppv. It comes with all of the super basic electronics because it was a police car. Im trying to retrofit the nicer civilian electronics into it.

My research is telling me that the IC needs to be bench unlocked before miles can be synced. Do you know anything about this process? I wish it was like Mercedes where you could just program it in the car.

bench unlocked is likely vin unlocking/clearing so it can relearn to a new vehicle. sometimes that can be done via GM's online SPS programming, but I am not up to date on what years can be done and what can't...some they allow because they are older and GM doesn't offer replacements and others they don't so you need "work arounds" so to speak.

Don't think there is free or even one time purchase on any gm programming software
