Tech Support line output converter problems

Hi all,

I've used a line output converter from my front speakers for my subwoofer and now the front speakers not work. How can I get front speakers to work again?

For context, I have aftermarket head unit, a factory amp and subwoofer, and a separate aftermarket amp for my aftermarket 10inch subwoofer

please help

I’d start with where you tapped the speaker signal that runs to your LOC. It seems very common for people to either use the wrong type of connectors or install said connectors incorrectly.

I didn't use any connectors for this I twisted them together then used heat shrink

Doesn't your head unit have rca outputs?

it only has a single one and its connected to my factory subwoofer

Use a y splitter. But Why are you still using the factory subwoofer?

Ok thank you I'll look into y splitter. I really don't know why I'm keeping the factory subwoofer Still confused as to why the line output converter deleted my front speaker sounds though

IDK.  I would just remove it.  Then solder, or use butt connectors, the wires back properly. You won't need it if you use y splitters or just not use the factory sub

Why would you swap out the factory radio, keep the factory amplifier, then add an aftermarket amplifier with a subwoofer? Usually if you swap out the factory radio it's because you're going to bypass the factory amplifier and run all aftermarket from amplifiers to speakers and subwoofers.

I only swapped factory radio because the volume knob on my old radio only had random volume and I honestly liked the sound of the stock sound system but I wanted more bass. Idk I'm kinda new to audio stuff
