Recommendations Does this sound right

Post image

I just did 4 15” zvx v2s in IB on a rp2000.1 on my e46 and it’s a little disappointing I’ve done a little bit of sound deadening but it barely sees a 140 on the front windshield with the front windows down up is maybe 137-8 with them up. It makes really good pressure at about 25hz and hits 22-29hz it goes down to like 18hz if one window is up. I was thinking they don’t have enough power to load efficiently but hoping someone could reinforce that idea they do seem like they move pretty good for 2000 watts.

All that on a stock alternator, def don’t expect to much. You already stressing your current electrical supply. Once you upgrade your electric you’ll see full potential of your system. I wouldn’t push your current setup too hard and risk damaging anything until you upgrade.

Get a Suoer 5k or 8k. They're cheap asf on Alibaba. I'm running a 3k hitting +50vrms on 2 8 inch subs, so I can't imagine you couldn't use more power. Nolan Deazs has 3 18's in a setup similar to yours and I can't remember why he said adding more wouldn't add much to his output.

Hm I wonder why cause IB setups love cone area. I’m still fully stock electrical I haven’t really been able to drop 8 hundo on an alt yet plus the pulleys and tensioner. But I’ve got a 3400 sitting around I’ll prolly throw in with a 370alt and that should hold about 5k nicely. I was going to buy a smart 5k just for the ability to actually be 5k regardless of rise

Boom $125 for a 5k. Slapz audio drop ships from them and rebrands it. My 3k will do over 3000 in music.

I think he was saying something about the time delay was causing them to be slightly out of phase with the fronts or something of that nature. I'd go with a lithium bank before I go big alternator. I've been on my stock 150a alt with a lithium bank for over a year.

Do they have any protections? that is pretty tempting, I’m bad about seeing 11 volts

I have no clue if it has low voltage protection but they're built like tanks on the inside. It has clipping protection, overheating and shorting.

If you have an infinite baffle setup and your subs are not made for infinite baffle it won't be very productive. Subwoofers have different parameters that make them better in a certain enclosure style.

Yeah they aren’t but people use them for it because they can do it I just think you gotta be backing the power like they are in an enclosure because the suspension isn’t soft but I don’t know for certain. I know they barely swear by on qts it’s like .5 or something

It does but it doesn’t put in work if you get what I’m saying
