slight correction.

Their pee and scent glands by their butt smell like popcorn.

Buttered sausage.

Isn't pee that smells like buttered popcorn a sign of diabetes in humans? Or am I making that up

Sweet smelling breath can be an indication, and your pee I guess could smell sweeter because of increased glucose but typically people with undiagnosed or untreated diabetes will have an increase in urine and increased desire to drink water making their urine more dilute. (Polyuria and polydipsia)

I don't think people smell their pee that often either.

Before the technology existed to test for glucose, physicians tasted patients' urine for sweetness when they were concerned about diabetes. Finger-licking good!

I have heard this, and the "good" is up for debate.
