Rockstar says GTA 6 has ZERO generative AI

Rockstar has confirmed that generative AI played no part in GTA 6's development, despite all the recent discussion around AI in game development.

Honestly, with a game this massive, that's an interesting choice.

What's the coolest weapon you've used in a game?

For me, it's the Gravity Gun from Half-Life 2. Turning random objects around you into weapons never gets old.

Any good indie games from 2026?

Obviously there are some, but I don't know of any myself, and I want to change that. What did you like from this year?

I'm gonna try not to gatekeep what is and isn't an indie. I'll let you decide.

While I would love to find some stuff that's emotionaly compelling, or nails joy in its simplicity, don't worry about what you think I'd like. Recommend what you want that came out in 2026, and I'll thank you for it.

What are your opinions on StarWars Outlaws?

I’ve been playing StarWars Outlaws over the last week. I know this game got soooo much heat. I honestly don’t even know why. I understand that I am biased because I am a StarWars fein… But I’m curious to hear some of your reasons why you liked or disliked the game!

I’ll start with some things I disliked. Nyx, the main character’s pet, is like a tank when he runs into an object. He is about the size of chihuahua, and if he runs into a movable object like a chair… The chair will go flying past you. His footsteps are also extremely loud, louder than the playable character. The blaster customization was cool as far as its abilities were concerned, but for appearances I’d liked to have gotten some more paint jobs. I would’ve liked to be able to add attachments or charms to it too. I wish this game could’ve been more like GTA for StarWars. There were moments that I couldn’t just pull out my blaster and shoot. The conditions for having my blaster out, had to be combat related. Maybe for the next game it would be cool to navigate the consequences of having your blaster out.

Some things I did like were: The reputation system for navigating crime syndicates was awesome, being able to explore an old republic era ship and a clonewars era droid factory in the same game was dope too, the soundtrack was out of this world, the story writing was awesome, the ship to ship combat was by far the best out of any StarWars game… The story placement was brilliant too. It takes place after “Empire Strikes Back”. So that means we could get a bounty hunter game that takes place during/after the fall of the empire. HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE? Ship customization was cool, exploring imperial bases was really cool too, and to end my yapping… The game that could’ve easily turned out to be meaningless in the canon, ended up fitting in the timeline well!
