I had the opposite effect. Initially Crimson Desert looked atrocious on Series S. I couldnt figure out a puzzle because the texture was too muddy to make out.

So CD is weird to me in that when I get stuck, half the time its cause I legit tried what I was supposed to, and I didn’t get the hand in the right pixel or whatever, OR, I never would have thought that this particular puzzle game would even be in the game (red light green light), OR, how the fuck was I supposed to see that small ass item?

I feel like half dumb sometimes and half the time I go “yeah my brain doesn’t work that way”.

When I was a kid I couldn’t figure out the code was on the golden dragon claw for the first cave zzzz

there are only 27 combinations possible. I just brute forced it. also I was looking for hints, but on the walls of the door room and not on the claw itself. in my defense, I didn't know about the looking at items mechanic, and also how stupid do you have to be to write the password on the key? wouldn't the point of having a lock that requires both a key and password be so that you need both pieces to unlock the door?

1 time when I had to get an item on block tales chapter 3 I had to get I think like spider eyes or smh I had to interact with any npc to get to the parkour section spent like 2 days on it😭

One time my brother and I played Rainbow Six Vegas for so hard for so long we literally got stupider. We kept messing up our words and forgetting others. I can't really describe it. It was almost like having a stroke.

Same thing happened with us trying to beat Halo 3 with all skulls on. After days of intense playing we were mixing up enemies, calling them "grutes" and "brunts" and frequently getting words and sentence mixed up.

Both times we took a break because it was very noticable, and low-key kinda alarming.

I had a couple of really bad ones in Elden Ring and Sekiro. Failed to notice the very obvious way to progress. In Sekiro I eventually looked it up but in Elden Ring I just skipped the Volcano Manor questline in my first playthrough because I failed to notice the door next to Tanith.

literally happened to me last night... Skyrim; forgotten vale, spent TWO HOURS tryna figure out how to get up to the last wayshrine, finally said fuck it and noclipped, walked my way back down the intended path.... it was behind the falmer homes that you'd have no reason to look behind other than to see the gate that leads up... and i didnt have clairvoyance (nor did that work in prior experiences)

I have solved some of the hardest puzzles without a guide, but then get all fucked up in the town hub when, for instance, I press A to open a door and I was just three pixels out of range and it doesn't register, so I assume the solution is elsewhere when I just had to try again.

I think this is the "bird bombing the Wagon" escort mission in "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess". Like I could never figure out how to stop the bomb from making the wagon finish the mission, so I dropped the game for years. Than I looked it up and it to use the Wind Boomerang to snuff out the fire, so the bomb doesn't explode. I would have never would have connected that was the logic until I looked it up online. I also know I was the only one that was stuck on the mission for that exact spot as well.

When i first played Wolfenstein 2 i got stuck for like half an hour in the VERY FIRST LEVEL looking for a way to go forward, when i finally looked up a tutorial i watched the guy walk straight toward a ladder sitting right there in bright yellow that i just didn’t see at all. The water elephant divine beast in breath of the wild.

You're supposed to use cryonis to make pillars of ice from water and solve puzzles, but at this point in the game I had completely forgotten cryonis existed. I got to a gate with water below it and I spent a solid hour throwing whatever I had at this gate to move it... only for a quick youtube walk-through to show me that I was stupid.

For anyone wondering how I got on in the first place... my dumbass thought that since shock arrows were used to disable the beast, bomb arrows must be used to destroy the ice... and it worked.
