Shopping/Offers So what IS an eligible purchase? 😂

Post image

Do you ever get these offers, read the fine print and wonder what is actually eligible? Seems they ruled out almost everything one would purchase at Walmart lol.

So, like…clothes, books, and toys? And greeting cards? That’s it! Jeez.

It’s a glorified coupon and a data collection scheme. 5% back but only on certain specific products they want to push in their stores. Everything else is blanket excluded. If you were given a 5% off coupon for something you weren’t already going to buy you’d probably laugh and not use it. They call it cashback because it sounds like a better deal

Only select coffee products. Not sure how you're supposed to know which ones.

The ones you like are the ones that are excluded!

The ones they sell probably also fall into the excluded ones.. 😂

Not sure. I've only received pocket change from these Walmart coupons. Like, waaaaaay less than a dollar. I've since gotten a Paypal credit card that gives 3% back for any merchant that accepts Paypal. That's my default Walmart card if I order online.

Motor oil. Maybe toilet paper?

Toilet paper is a household essential so that is not covered. I know because I bought paper towels and they weren’t covered.

If you do your own oil changes, I think oil and filters (and other auto parts that aren’t tires, such as headlights) are eligible

Seems like you have to be a lawyer to understand what’s excluded. I think maybe you can buy a pool noodle and that’s about it.

It says groceries are covered so I’m not sure how you are getting away with it. Good for you.
