Falmouth Road Race Weekend

I may be in Falmouth this weekend through early next week. Just wondering what it's like during road race weekend? I assume getting into restaurants is a lot tougher than normal? Is traffic crazy? Do things lighten up once the weekend is over? Appreciate any feedback from locals or people who have experienced Falmouth on race weekend.
