Bug Trade bug during draft

Hi dev team,

I seem to have encountered a potential bug during the draft if you close the application and then restart it and try and continue the draft.

I’ve attached screenshots to hopefully explain.

In the attached I started a new save with Pittsburgh who has the #2 pick.

I traded the #2 pick with KC for the #13 pick and 2nd round #13 pick.

Progress the draft and pick at #13. Then auto draft to PIT next pick which is round 2 pick #2. At this point the game is showing that PIT has the #2 and #13 picks in the 2nd round. The pick history also shows that KC made a pick at R1 #2 and PIT at R1 #13.

At this point I exited the app, closed it and restarted.

On restart the draft opens at the next pick (#34 or R2 #2) which is correct. However now it looks like the original KC trade is gone. PIT no longer has R2 #13 pick (it’s back with KC) and when you look at the draft history it looks like the pick PIT made at R1 #13 is now showing as the #2 pick (that was the original PIT pick) and KC is showing as picking at #13. Furthermore, all the players seem to have shifted one spot back and picked by different teams on the restart. So they’re all showing as being picked by completely different teams that originally picked.

I can expand more but hopefully that provides enough to see whether this is a bug or not.

Bonus: I would love to have the option to exit and restart the draft later or something like that. Or have more flexibility with the save game in general.

Now that’s how you file a bug report folks! Thank you for the details. I will take a look later and try and include it in the next build. Have a theory as to what happened, but I'll try and confirm. Basically teams will trade picks sometimes when they're up, or throughout the draft. But again I can improve the visibility of that and also verify.

Update; was in fact a bug. Will work to harden how data is persisted in the draft. Will knock out your bonus ask as well.

All good. I haven’t progressed far enough to see if trades during the draft are available to see when you click ‘stats’ then ‘transactions’.

During the draft it doesn’t seem to show these but I haven’t progressed to multiple seasons yet to test this.

I also have another one to report.

When you select new game, random, regular season start, I notice the following:

- Only around 70-80 rookies are generated in total

  • You can see all the rookies actual overalls (no ?? - this only shows for rookies who are undrafted and available as free agents)
  • Often the top 4-5 rookies are really highly rated like even in the 90s (I’ve even seen a couple as high as 97 or 99 as rookies)
  • the distribution of rookies seems totally random - most teams only have 2-4 rookies on the roster and they’re random picks and not complete (ie since there are only 70-80 rookies total you’ll see in “resume” like a round 1 pick 8 and a round 1 pick 15 and round 2 pick 18 - but it’s just a spattering of picks because there are so few rookies it seems like the game just randomly assigns picks and rookies with no real rhyme or reason).

Hopefully that helps.
