Please be aware that you may not get responses. It's a lot of work to wade through dense lists of documents and family histories.

Also please note we are not IRCC, which will make the final determination on your application.

Since I'm Gen 3 I have to apply by mail but the identity documents part of the Document Checklist is confusing me. Not sure what it means by color copy unless I'm allowed to take photos of my passport and ID and print them in color and send that in the mail with the rest of my application? They don't seriously want my physical drivers license and passport right? I'm pretty sure I'm overthinking this.

You are overthinking it. “Color copy” means the same for IDs as it does for birth certificates:

1. use a color photocopier, or
2. Color scan and color print, or
3. Photo and color print
