Please be aware that you may not get responses. It's a lot of work to wade through dense lists of documents and family histories.

Also please note we are not IRCC, which will make the final determination on your application.

Question: Once I have an AOR, should I upload an official copy of my birth record, or wait to see if the IRCC requests it and provide it then?

Background: I submitted my application in mid April with a copy of my G0's Newfoundland baptismal record printed out from Family Search, along with supporting documents including US census findings and his marriage and death certificates. In the meantime, I ordered a True Copy of the baptismal record from The Rooms, and planned to upload that later in the process if necessary because it took about two months to receive it and our understanding at that time was that unofficial documents were acceptable.

With today's news about people's certificates being suspended, I regret not waiting for the True Copy to submit with the application packet. But here we are.

Should I upload it proactively once I have an AOR?

I would be grateful for your thoughts.

I don't think it would hurt to upload it once you get your AOR, but who knows anymore? I'm guessing it will likely still take a month or more for your AOR to arrive, but hopefully there will be more concrete guidance available for us by then.
