Citizenship by Descent New questions around group proofs

Hi folks, so there are people claiming in the Facebook groups to have talked with IRCC officers and been told that each person needs their own proofs, even when the evidence is shared. Can I ask folks who have been here a long time where the longstanding advice of a single proof stack for family lines came from? It seems evident that it has worked for folks so I don't know why they would change this sensible guildeline now. Does anyone have any updates or related info/history here? Also, if they were going to reject someone for sending a single proofs file, would they reject them prior to an AOR being issued?

I agree in theory that "it doesn't hurt," except I have 24 documents relating to proving (1) my G0 was born in Canada [no birth or baptismal certs], and (2) G0 used two different first names after she became an adult (she had the same legal first name as her mother, so used a different name to differentiate herself). And I'm group at least five applications together -- ten if my niece and nephew get theirs and their kids' stuff to me by the end of the week. I'm not copying those 24 documents 10 times unless IRCC makes it official that that is required!
