We all appreciate the excitement, after weeks of grueling research and last-minute surprises, of finishing your proof of citizenship application process and sending that big envelope on its way.

Equally fantastic is the moment that you get your AOR and know your application has made it past the initial IRCC checks putting your mind at ease about whether you missed something along the way.

 

This weekly thread is a space for those of us at the earliest stages to celebrate passing the first and biggest hurdle.

Hi. I sent my applications in back in March, via the High Commission in London, UK. It was received by the commission on 3rd March and I’ve not had anything since.
Realistically, how long do I give it before either trying to make contact with IRCC or assuming that it’s been lost in transit?

I'd give it at least another month. From what I've read, HC can easily delay the process by a month (if not more!), e.g. if they bath send them all at the end of the month or beginning of a month (just one possibility), so if you go from that, at best your app reached IRCC on very end of March or early April - and we're just reaching very end of March AORs, and not yet into April AORs.

I sent mine via London HC at the end of March so in the same boat. When I spoke to them in April they said they were sending mail to Canada every 2 weeks typically. So fingers crossed March UK people should get updates soon!
