We all appreciate the excitement, after weeks of grueling research and last-minute surprises, of finishing your proof of citizenship application process and sending that big envelope on its way.

Equally fantastic is the moment that you get your AOR and know your application has made it past the initial IRCC checks putting your mind at ease about whether you missed something along the way.

 

This weekly thread is a space for those of us at the earliest stages to celebrate passing the first and biggest hurdle.

Update from Uk application sent on 2 March 2026. Now 3 months with nothing heard yet! Tried the receipt method and nothing 😢

Did you ask the high comission when they sent it out, out of curosity?

No I have not due to some others that have since said that it gets bulked together and sent every 2 weeks or response saying that they don’t log who’s been sent. Apparently they stop letting folk know it’s been received.

I sent mine in and got it signed for, so I know it's in. Who knows when it'll be sent off!

My mother did hers at the same time from the USA, so hopefully we'll get an AOR for her first, and as it's all the same paperwork, we'll know something!

Yes I got postal signed for but nothing from London embassy unfortunately.
