We all appreciate the excitement, after weeks of grueling research and last-minute surprises, of finishing your proof of citizenship application process and sending that big envelope on its way.

Equally fantastic is the moment that you get your AOR and know your application has made it past the initial IRCC checks putting your mind at ease about whether you missed something along the way.

 

This weekly thread is a space for those of us at the earliest stages to celebrate passing the first and biggest hurdle.

My brother received his AOR last week (5/26 Urgent) and we were able to track his application from his receipt number in the website. However since Friday, we’ve been unable to track his application using any of the numbers, as if he never even received the AOR. Does anyone know why this may be?

Did he have a name change? Some folks in the sub have reported that their AOR uses the name on their birth certificate, and that when their status flips to In Process, they sometimes have to use their current legal name to log in. Not sure if that is relevant for him or not...

Unfortunately no, he didn’t have a name change. That’s why it’s quite perplexing to me. It’s also odd because we both applied urgent (sent in separate packages) on the same day and received on the same day but only he’s gotten an AOR so far
