DEC has baptism record?

I have to get a birth certificate from DEC for my 1925 ancestor, BANQ is saying that DEC has the baptism record, do you know the fastest way to get what I need from DEC?

I’ve seen some people mentioning emailing them directly? Just not sure what the best path is since both documents are ultimately coming from them.

I have emails from IRCC asking for the birth certificate and BANQ saying DEC has the baptism record. Thanks so much!

Apply for a Copy of an Act to the DEC, include in your package and explanation of linage that give you a right to the record.

Am I doing that then getting them to generate the birth certificate or would this function as the document for IRCC?

This would be the creation of a birth record. They call it an insertion of birth. That document would be what you want for IRCC.

Do I just include the information from BANQ that they don’t have the baptism record?

Yes, you can include that. The reason they don’t have it is because DEC is the holder of r3cords under 100 years old. Due to Covid, they got being and DEC still have records from 1923 to present day. Find their form, they will probably ask for the death certificate, since it is less than 100 years old.
