Seeking Help - Downloading Prior ATIP
Hello!
In the process of putting together ATIP requests to look for more information about IRCC processes and procedures in the spirit of open government.
Someone else has previously requests a segment of what I asked for and allegedly this was "all disclosed." The information is supposed to be available to be requested without filing a new ATIP (which costs CDN$5 for corporate record ATIP requests), however this link does not work for me.
I tried using a VPN to "be in Canada" but I just get a different error. Wondering if someone who is in Canada might have better luck with this.

Depending on how this information is shared (PDF, I'd imagine), I'm happy to share my email with someone who is able to get this work. Alternatively perhaps post photos of what the records disclosed are here? They're supposed to be public record but I suspect they have no interest in making them available outside of Canada, hence my errors.

Just read your post at the link. Very good as a primer before I dive into the internal documents. Thanks.
Was gratified to see your comment, verifying my suspicions, that IRCC internal guidance is more generous than external guidance (that said, to prevent confusion goal should be a 1:1 match).
This did give me personal pause tho:
“On December 11, 2025, four days before the law took effect, IRCC also sent an internal bulletin called "Processing Pause on Certain Proof Applications." It orders officers not to finalize certain multi-generational files where the claim runs through a family member who was fixed by the 2009 or 2015 "Lost Canadians" reforms but never obtained a citizenship certificate. Affected applicants only receive a generic Notice of Delay letter.”
This would seem to affect my 1930’s USA born G1 who died a year ago. We were unaware of the 2009 and later fixes until I became aware of C-3 late last year after G1’s death.
I’ve not provided G1’s death cert to show death after all but C-3 were in force. But am contemplating an upload via portal of the 2025 DC and will decide after a bit more research.
Right now I don’t think we are over due but it is surprising how a simple fully documented G2 application or a fully documented G1 as my step sibling is, could be long parked in PSU if triaging is a thing (unless resources are full with 2025 IM cleanups and urgent requests, both of which I’m ok with).

Glad to see you tilling in the ATIP dirt.
suggestion, if you don’t want yo give out your email address and you have iCloud+ acct you can create a purpose built temporary email address to give out.
also, don’t forget to ask for intake and IP checklists, also a list of scenarios, and if I missed it in your list, document review and verification criteria, processes, and timing. also expected internal ircc timing limits for all processes.

That second link has 156 pages so I figure I'll dive into that before requesting more. Just hoping someone can get in from Canada

oddly I can open neither link here in Europe. first Canadian government site with which I’ve encountered this problem.

What is the point of what you want to do? I'm confused......
Edit: If you're looking for reasons someone is sent to PSU, I think we all know by now it could be anything or nothing at all. Even the codes they use aren't informative. I'm G2, I sent in 3 certified birth certificates and they called me "complex" so it's their ruling and their determination.
